About us

Open source monitoring, built by Xorux.

LPAR2RRD comes from Xorux, an independent software company based in Prague since 2013. Our team builds performance and capacity monitoring for physical and virtual servers, cloud workloads and databases, run in production by organizations across banking, telecom, public administration, energy and healthcare.

Who we are

An independent vendor that keeps its tools running for the long haul.

Xorux is a privately held software company founded in 2013 in Prague by Pavel Hampl, a UNIX systems engineer. LPAR2RRD is our server and virtualization monitoring tool, shaped by people who run infrastructure themselves and wanted answers in seconds rather than another console to configure for weeks.

The product is mature and still actively looked after. For the teams who depend on it, that means a monitoring tool they can keep in production for years, under a stable open source licence, without a vendor deciding to retire it from under them.

Our philosophy

Simple but powerful, the way administrators actually work.

Our aim has always been to bring simple but powerful products to market, tools that make everyday administration easier instead of adding to it.

The two or three click rule
Answers, fast.

An administrator should reach the information they are looking for in two or three clicks. We design every view around that idea, so problems surface quickly instead of hiding behind menus.

Minimal upkeep
It should run itself.

The tool is built to keep running with as little administration as possible. It is there to make your life easier, not to become one more system that needs constant attention.

First level tooling
The first place you look.

We do not try to compete with large, complex platforms that aim to do everything. LPAR2RRD is a first level tool to spot issues and read trends quickly; heavier, second level tools can take over when you need fine detail.

The Xorux family

One team, three open source monitoring tools.

LPAR2RRD covers servers and virtualization. STOR2RRD covers storage. XorMon brings them together. All three are developed at Xorux under the GPL v3 licence.

LPAR2RRD
Server, cloud & database monitoring

The tool Xorux started with: performance and capacity monitoring for physical and virtual servers, cloud workloads and databases, on a single pane.

  • IBM Power, VMware, Nutanix and more
  • Cloud and database back ends
  • Capacity planning across the estate
  • Open source, GPL v3
Since 2014
STOR2RRD
Storage, SAN & LAN monitoring

The storage focused companion to LPAR2RRD: performance and capacity monitoring across multi vendor storage arrays, SAN and LAN environments.

  • Multi vendor storage arrays
  • SAN and LAN visibility
  • Open source, GPL v3
XorMon
Unified monitoring platform

The unified application that brings server and storage monitoring into a single console, on top of LPAR2RRD and STOR2RRD.

  • One console across the family
  • Actively developed by Xorux
  • Open source, GPL v3
How we operate

What you can count on.

01 · Maintained
A tool that stays in service.

LPAR2RRD is a mature, legacy maintained product. The Xorux team keeps it working with fixes and the support its long standing users have come to expect, release after release.

02 · Open & on-premises
Your data stays with you.

The product is licensed under the GPL v3 and installs entirely on your own infrastructure. Nothing leaves your network, and the source code is open for inspection and audit.

03 · Direct support
Talk to the people who build it.

Support contracts are handled by the same Xorux engineers who develop LPAR2RRD, with agreed response times on critical issues, wherever you are based.
