How to replace IBM PM400
IBM’s popular historical reporting offering Performance Management for Power Systems (a.k.a. PM400) was withdrawn from service on September 30, 2020.
There’s an easy solution for replacing it!
Use LPAR2RRD IBM Power and IBM i editions that provide you with a detailed view into IBM i performance management and stores performance data history.
LPAR2RRD IBM Power edition
It presents CPU utilization from HMC level, through frame level to the LPAR level.
For each frame you can also see utilization of the adapters such as LAN, SAN, SAS or SR IOV ethernet virtualization up to the virtual-port level.
It is based on HMC-provided data, you can monitor the following components:
- CPU pool
- Shared Processor Pools
- LPAR
- Physical interfaces.
For such components we provide these metrics: CPU performance, Memory allocation and physical adapters performance.
